Home purchasing in Berkeley is a journey, and we would not have gotten there without Emma as our guide!   We really appreciated how Emma gave us all the information we needed, but always ensured it was us in control and making the decisions, and at no point pressured to make a particular choice. We had a very specific want (not to change school zones so our kids could still bus to school) and Emma was very proactive finding suggestions that fit this narrow requirement. She was also fantastic at helping us strategize our approach once we found a place that we wanted to put an offer in for--she leveraged her expertise of the market and her insights based on experience in such a way that we were able to avoid a bidding war, have an offer accepted with inspection/appraisal contingencies, and negotiate necessary fixes to be done to the house prior to closing. Additionally, she was very well versed in the University of California MOP loan program so she was able to coach us through that process as well.
